IT'S A GIRL!!
I am so excited. I was hoping for a boy (51%-49% preference) but all that melted away when I heard it was a little girl. She is 11oz and has a heart rate of 154 bpm. She is looking good and measuring right on track at 19w 5d!

Maternity clothes? Sometimes I put on maternity pants but still in regular shirts.

We went to the NT scan on Tuesday and it was amazing! I can't get over how much the little one was moving. It was rubbing it's little eyes and trying to hide from the ultrasound wand. The test results come back wonderful with a 1 in 10000 chance. It was so wonderful!

I admit, I feel as tired as I look in this picture. You can tell my 'bump' is getting bigger down low. I am starting so much lower this time then I did with Jake. I will post a comparison picture of 12 weeks this time vs last time down a little below.
How far along? 12 weeks
Weight gain/loss: 124.5 lbs.
Maternity clothes? Pants (2 pair of capri's) and then I wear my yoga pant a lot.
Stretch marks? Same.
Sleep? Sleeping fine just not enough. I feel like I would need to sleep 12 hours just to keep up with the exhaustion I am feeling.
Best moment this week? Finding out my next ultrasound is covered!
Food cravings: Mexican food.
Gender: Not sure yet.
Belly button in or out? In
Movement? Nope.
What I miss? Not being a hormonal mess.
What I'm looking forward to: Seeing little one via ultrasound next Tuesday.
Milestones: None.

Baby is the size of a plum this week. Emmy (our nick name for the baby since it was short for embryo) is starting to look just like a little baby!
Here is what I am talking about when it comes to where my 'bump' is starting this time compared to last time, granted last time was a lot of bloat (it took forever for me to actually show) this time things are spilling out everywhere.

How far along? 11 weeks
Weight gain/loss: 124 lbs.
Maternity clothes? Sometimes pants. I hate them so much though that I am wearing a lot of stretchy non maternity pants.
Stretch marks? Same.
Sleep? Sleeping fine. (Jake is starting to sleep well again!)
Best moment this week? It's been a pretty bad week.
Food cravings: Sushi.
Gender: Not sure yet.
Belly button in or out? In
Movement? Nope.
What I miss? Still miss being hungry
What I'm looking forward to: Seeing little one via ultrasound on the 31st.
Milestones: None.

Not much happened this week. I stopped my Metformin and so I don't feel as sick so that is good. I feel like all of my bloat is gone (there is nothing to suck in)so that explains why my 'bump' looks flat and deformed this week.

A day late and a dollar short.
ws9w5d (1 of 1)
How far along? 10 weeks
Weight gain/loss: 124.5 lbs. (same as last week)
Maternity clothes?Yes :( I hate maternity pants. I am still, however, in regular shirt (and sure I will be for a while, I like them big.
Stretch marks? Same.
Sleep? Sleeping fine.
Best moment this week?Jonathan being amazed that I actually am starting to look pregnant so early.
Food cravings: I find that I am liking fruit. I can't eat a lot of food at one time though (which I think is the reason I am losing weight) I am eating only a 1/4 of what I use to eat.
Gender:Back to thinking girl.
Belly button in or out? In
Movement? Nope.
What I miss? Being hungry. (Same as last week)
What I'm looking forward to: Seeing little one via ultrasound on the 31st.
Milestones:Needing maternity clothes.

And here are some random observations I have noticed between this pregnancy and last pregnancy.
1) I have lost a lot of weight. I mean I knew I did from the number difference on the scale but it wasn't until I compared the pictures from this and last pregnancy side by side until I noticed how much. 2) Either I lost all that weight in my boobs or pregnancy ate them. (In reality I think it was a combo of over production and weight lost - over production stretched them out and weight loss...well...you know).

Of course, what are words with out a visual (boring that's what) so here is a pic of what I am talking about.

How far along? 6 weeks
Weight gain/loss: 126 - down 4lbs so far
Maternity clothes? No, I hate maternity pants so I am going to try to avoid those as long as possible.
Stretch marks? Same.

Gender: I'm thinking girl but I don't know for sure at all.
Belly button in or out? In
Movement? Nope.
What I miss? Nothing yet.
What I'm looking forward to: Next ultrasound, hopefully we see the heart beat.
Milestones:Seeing our bean on the big screen!

We had our first big appointment yesterday and boy what a mess!

We got there at 10 (30 minutes before my appointment) and I walked up to the receptionist to let her know I am there for my ultrasound. She informed me that I was in fact NOT there for an ultrasound...um okay, so why was I there I wondered. She said they had me down as this being my first appointment for this pregnancy and I that I was there to get a conformation (it's my 3rd and I have already had a urine test and 2 blood tests, what more do they want).

I got back to the room to see the doctor and when he came in he told  me I am indeed suppose to have an u/s, there was just a scheduling issue.  So they did my pap, asked if my history had changed since last pregnancy, gave me a list of dos and do nots, and  sent me down to the u/s room.

I got my u/s done internally and the baby is  measuring 5w 5d  (I was figuring I was around 5w 6d) so that's fine and good but there was no measurable heart  beat. There was a tiny flicker of what could be a heart beat but it's so  tiny they couldn't pin point it. There was, however, a sac, a yolk sac, and  a fetal pole.

After the ultrasound I made an appointment for 4 weeks from that day and  I headed down to the lab.

When I gave the lab tech my paperwork they told me I would have to be there for an hour. I was dumbfounded. I asked why. They said I needed to take my one hour glucose. Um, I am  less than 6 weeks pregnant and I didn't fast! They said it was doctors orders and it didn't matter that I didn't fast.

So Jonathan had to go back to work and while I waited for an hour so they can draw my blood I had to hunt down a  ride.

They drew 7 big vials of blood and boot me out.

I got home and on the answering machine was a message from my OB saying  they NEEDED to see me in 3 weeks for another u/s and a visit with the OB.

I  called the receptionist and they are like well you have an appt for 4  weeks, I said I know, I made that before I heard they want me back in 3.  She put me on hold and then came back and changes my appt from the 12  of August to the 9th (big whoop).

It was crazy.

Anyway, this week baby is the size of a pea and is staring to look more like a baby. It is starting to sprout eyes, ears, nose, cheeks, chin and little webbed hands and feet.

And here is the difference between this week and last week.

How far along? 5 weeks
Weight gain/loss: 127 pounds.
Maternity clothes? Not yet.
Sleep? I am getting enough.

Food cravings: None yet...I am not really liking food right now.
Belly button in or out? In
Movement? No.
What I miss?Nothing yet.
What I'm looking forward to? My first ultrasound!
Weekly wisdom: Enjoy everyday!
Milestones: No major milestones.

This week the baby is the size of an apple seed. Even though it is now an embryo we are still calling it Blasty (short for blastocyst). The baby is starting to form major organs such as the heart, kidneys, liver, and stomach, and it's systems such as the nervous, circulatory, and digestive. It's pretty creepy looking at this stage...kind of like an alien - a cute, creepy, alien baby.

Here is a side by side comparison this week to last week.

June 30, 2010 - 4 weeks
That's right! Today the doctor confirmed my pregnancy! We are so excited.

I will try do a better job of documenting my pregnancy this time since this is our last time and I didn't do as well as I would have liked the first time. (Wow, I said time a lot in that run-on sentence)

So let's being. Below is my before the bump picture (please excuse the cheesy smile, ha ha).

That baby is the size of a poppy seed and is a ball of cells (blastocyst) that splits in two, to become the embryo and the  placenta.
